During the first few months since I have been diagnosed with BP, I’ve been less dedicated on spending time doing my evening skincare routine as I always allot more time in doing facial exercises and massages to stimulate my facial nerves (#priorities). Now, several months later, there are still days that I don’t follow my full evening routine due to the same reason and also because I simply just wanted to rest and sleep more (because honestly, skincare routine in general can be time consuming). It’s been more than a year since I posted my evening skincare routine, so I’ll be sharing my updated and simplified evening routine. 💜

Step 1: Oil-based cleanser

Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm (Original)

Oil-based cleansers help remove all oil-based products in our skin such as make-up, excess sebum, sunscreen, as well as pollutants. This step is also for those who don’t wear anything (make-up) on their face at all! It is best to consider a mild yet effective oil-based cleanser in removing makeup and dirt without causing irritation. 

Currently, I went back to the first-ever oil-based cleanser that I tried which is the Banila Co. Clean It Zero (Original). I was curious because they have repackaged and reformulated the product. The scent is still the same and it still does not sting my eyes or give me irritation which is pretty much the same like the Heimish All Clean Balm, but the only thing that I noticed is that the Clean It Zero texture glides onto my face more smoothly. 

Step 2: Water-based cleanser

Neogen Real Fresh Foam Cleanser (Green Tea)

Water-based cleansers eliminate water-based impurities such as sweat and dirt. It is also worthy to consider using a water-based cleanser that is SLS (sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate)-free, a foaming agent which may cause skin irritation.

I LOVE GREEN TEA and NEOGEN. The Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser is just like their cleansing stick just that it is in liquid form. The Real Fresh Foam Cleanser is packed with fermented green tea extracts which gently cleanses and refreshes the skin. I personally prefer foam cleansers after using the one from Neogen because – just like gel and stick cleansers – I need not to cut the packaging in half just to consume the product entirely (which I normally do with cream-like cleansers). It also makes the second step much easier to lather since it is foamy already.

Step 3: Moisture pads

Neogen Real Cica Pads

As previously mentioned, I LOVE NEOGEN (hahaha! 😆) and as much as possible, I wanted to try all their products because it is no doubt that they didn’t compromised the quality, although some of its products are quite expensive for me. However, this specific product was just within my budget and I immediately ordered it upon its availability here in PH because my favorite skincare enthusiasts loved it.

The Neogen Real Cica Pads was recently launched by Neogen in early 2018. It is a skin-calming pad soaked in cica (aka centella asiatica) essence which smooths and soothes the skin and PHA (polyhydroxy acids) which is a peeling ingredient but less than irritating than the AHA’s and BHA’s (if you want to know more about it, check my co-junkie’s related article here). This makes the product safe to use every day because of its gentle properties. I love how the cica pads really take out excess dirt after I double cleanse, not to mention that a single pad is really soaked with rich essence such that I can wipe it across my face for a couple of more minutes without drying faster than using a regular cotton pad and toner.

Step 4: Eye cream

Benton Fermentation Eye Cream

I have naturally dark circles and crow’s feet around my eyes, yet after learning and incorporating the Korean skincare routine, I would still always try to remind myself to religiously use eye cream every night to help reduce the dark circles and puffiness in a way. The Benton Fermentation Eye Cream contains bifida ferment lysate and galactomyces ferment filtrate which help repair skin damage. Ceramides, hyaluronic acid, aloe, and panthenol also complements the fermented ingredients resulting to a deeply hydrated skin.

I love how it comes in a tube for hygienic purposes, although one thing that I just noticed recently is that when your eyes tear up* a little bit, the eye cream tends to sting around the area. (*Shout out to Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds for it was the reason why I cried! LOL)

Step 5: Moisturizer

Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel

The Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel is the only constant product in my whole skincare routine since 2017 and I always make sure that I have an extra of this because you cannot run out of the A/S gel! While some moisturizers have thick consistency, this one is lightweight and not sticky. What's to love more about this product is that it is multi-purpose as well! It can be used as a body lotion, hair mask or soothe allergies and sunburns. While the product has an alcohol content, I really don’t mind because my skin is not drying out and/or experiencing any irritations and breakouts because of it. Not to mention that it is also one of the cheapest moisturizers out in the market and endorsed by EXO! 💙

Step 6: Lip balm

Nivea Med Repair, Carmex Classic Medicated Lip Balm

Lip balm is really not included in the Korean skincare routine but a lot of skincare enthusiasts incorporate it because lip balm protects lips from getting dry and chapped (specially on cold nights). It also provides extra moisture on the lips. Currently, I am using two lip balms namely the Nivea Med Repair SPF 15 and Classic Carmex Medicated Lip Balm. Whenever my lips are chapped, I would always reach out the one from Carmex because it feels like an ointment for the lips because it contains camphor and menthol to soothe and protect flaking lips.

While you may think that six steps might still be a little bit overwhelming, maybe you can stick with steps 1 to 3 followed by 5. Personally, I advise that you follow steps 1 and 2 which are collectively called as the double cleansing routine as these steps are the ones you cannot skip!

My BP Journey

It was Tuesday, March 13, while I was working in the office, I felt a sudden numbness on my shoulders… initially, I thought that it might just be the bag that I am using. When I got home, I slept with 2 strips of Salonpas on the back of my shoulders. The next morning, I felt pains all over my arms and upper thighs, I immediately decided to set an appointment with our family doctor and patiently waited for my turn. The waiting game was kind of stressful, kasi mas bumibigat ang pakiramdam ko. The doctor said that it might be just a flu, he prescribed three types of medicine and advised me to have another appointment with him after a week if there is no progress. I religiously followed the doctor’s prescription for three days but it didn’t show any improvement at all. Wala akong lagnat, pero ang lala na ng sakit na nararamdaman ko sa buong katawan to the point that I cannot sleep soundly every night kasi masakit humiga nang patagilid. Ultimo pag-upo sa toilet seat, pagbangon sa kama, at pag-akyat ng hagdan, lahat masakit. 

March 17, Saturday. I woke up early and saw Mama eating her breakfast, I silently joined her and tried to act normal as much as possible, kaso hindi ko na talaga kaya yung sakit. I broke down and cried in front of her, wala pang one week and gusto ko na bumalik sa ospital for a check-up because I cannot take the pain, I am not getting any better. Our family doctor doesn’t do appointments on weekends, we went to another hospital and made an appointment. The doctor advised that I do several lab tests before he could properly diagnose. Later that day, medyo umaayos na rin ang pakiramdam ko; hindi na ako nahihirapan umakyat, for one, and hindi na gaanong masakit yung buong katawan ko. By Sunday, I was able to take a full body bath (which I was not able to do so during the past few days) and attended the Holy Mass.

I’m still on leave by Monday (March 19) because it was my second medical appointment with our family doctor. I was feeling better, although medyo masakit pa rin umakyat ng hagdan, pagpasok sa sasakyan, and pagsakay ng jeep – as in para talaga akong may rayuma the whole time. He prescribed me another muscle relaxant and Vitamin B. I texted my boss that I will be reporting to the office the following day since hindi na gaanong masakit yung katawan ko… but that is what I thought.

Since Sunday night, the back of my head hurts whenever I lie down. However, I just disregarded them, thinking that it was part of the body pain that I have been experiencing the previous days. Nonetheless, I was able to sleep soundly that Monday night. It was around 4.50am, Tuesday, when I reached for the alarm and opened my eyes, I felt a sense of relief that my body pain and the headache were gone, however, I have a feeling that something’s not right. I turned on the lights and look myself in the mirror.

I tried smiling… I cannot move the right side of my face – as in bagsak siya. I panicked because initially I thought I was having stroke. I went to my parents’ room to wake them up, Mama opened the door for me and for the second time, I cried again, but this time it was harder, “Ma, hindi ko magalaw mukha ko, hindi ko magalaw”, I was saying repeatedly and pointing the right side of my face. We went back to my room, pinatahan niya ako, she looked at me (probably examining my face), and prepared a hot compress.

“Wag ka na pumasok, magbalik tulog ka”, she said, but I cannot go to sleep anymore. I just ate cereal during breakfast, but it took me forever to finish the whole bowl because since I cannot move the right side of my face, it’s harder to eat and drink. Mama finished her breakfast earlier and went to our family doctor to set an appointment, may queuing kasi that’s why maaga siya pumunta. As I was waiting for her, I was Googling “cannot move right side of face”, after loading the results, I saw an unfamiliar word on top of the page “Bell’s Palsy”.

I haven’t heard of the term and so I read all related articles to it because it seems like I have it… and I was right. After my consultation that morning, the doctor finally diagnosed me with Bell’s Palsy (BP).

BP is basically a temporary facial paralysis on one or both sides of the face which can make the person look different because the affected side would look droopy. Scientifically speaking, the sudden paralysis is due to the malfunction of the 7th cranial nerve which is also called facial nerve. There is no sole cause of BP, but there might be factors that trigger BP such as stress, traumatic injury, ear infection, herpes simplex virus, diabetes, or flu/bad cold.

The doctor prescribed me another set of medicines, one is corticosterioids (anti-inflammatory), aciclovir (anti-viral drug), and Vitamin B. I need to take the first two medicines every 4 hours for 5 days as to prevent further infection. The doctor also advised me to seek therapy sessions for the improvement of muscles around the affected side, he referred us to a physical therapist within the hospital. The first session started immediately that same day after the doctor’s final diagnosis, it lasted for almost an hour.

I decided to report to work the following day, pero sa sobrang conscious ko sa mukha ko, I wore face mask all the time and I opt not to engage conversation with my other officemates. After that day, napansin ko na hindi ko na rin maigalaw yung left side ng mukha ko, both sides are now affected. Mas nahirapan akong kumain, I have to use my hands to move my chin whenever eating and my lower lip whenever I’m drinking or else tatapon siya. I also have to aid my lower lip whenever I wanted to speak since when both sides are affected, I had more difficulty speaking. I also experienced difficulty closing my eyes, my right ear is more sensitive to sound, and my sense of taste altered. What’s worst is that I cannot smile, I cannot laugh, I cannot convey facial expressions properly kasi paralyzed yung mukha ko. Hindi naman nagmanhid yung mukha ko – nakakaramdam ako pero sadyang hindi ko lang siya magalaw.

It really saddens me, because I know wala akong kasiguraduhan kung kailan babalik sa dati yung mukha ko. During our first session, my therapist told me that improvements can possibly be seen after a month of therapy sessions, I am hopeful. After a couple of weeks, the left side slowly went back to normal, by April 12, there was a slight improvement on the right side of my face, particularly the lips. The 20th session ended during the first week of May; the affected area showed little improvement over the past sessions and so I decided to continue with the session.

Before the end of May, I can smile a little – this I consider to be the greatest improvement so far. I can also eat and drink without using my hands to aid my chin. I also decided not to wear face mask in the office… slowly I find myself embracing the situation and trying to be as normal as possible. By June, I started serving the church again as lector/commentator since I can speak much better than the previous months. I was worried as to what the parishioners might say because the affected side still looks droopy, but our ministry coordinator assured me that what’s more important is that I am able to serve the church again.

However, the first few months was a struggle because I find myself questioning Him at times as to “Why me?”, “Bakit ang dami kong natapos na sessions pero wala pa rin improvement?”, “Bakit ang bagal?”, I was getting impatient because even though I have been doing numerous sessions, the improvements were much slower than what the therapist told me and what I was expecting. It was during those times where I began to pray more to God. I kept asking for healing because I know na lahat ng iniinom kong gamot are useless because ultimately, He is my true and only HEALER. Since March, I learned to be more grateful and appreciative that I have my family as my support system. I’m also thankful to my churchmates, friends, and Kevin who took time and effort to visit me during the first week of diagnosis.

By the time of publish, it has been 167 days since I was diagnosed with BP. My face looks almost normal again although I’m not fully recovered yet. The affected side remains to be weak as compared to the other but it is far better than the earlier months since diagnosis. I already stopped attending therapy sessions, but I’m still doing facial exercises and taking Vitamin B at home. It sucks that BP has no immediate cure but I learned to be more patient and understanding about my situation. As of now, I’m still trying not to be conscious about it. All I can do is to pray and live with it until I’m totally healed… I just cannot wait to recover my smile again.

Skincare Daebak 2017

There are so many things to be grateful for last 2017: 

• I get to actively participate in the church through serving as a lector/commentator in our parish 
• I was able to improve my writing skills bit by bit since more accounts have been assigned to me (thankful for my teammate and mentor for guiding me as well) 
• Passed the Civil Service Examination (by just doing self-review; although I was close to giving up after taking the exams because the Math part is just challenging LOL) 
• #AHFODTourMNL – This was also the first ever legit concert that I’ve attended and I’m just so proud of myself and for my Coldplay buddy, Jassy, that one of our dreams came true! Seeing Coldplay performed live and the crowd enjoying and singing every single song was truly an adventure of a lifetime. 
• Singapore 2017 (My first out of the country trip since 2013) – I still cannot forget the time when I spontaneously booked 2 tickets because it’s on sale and I was just lucky I get to booked the remaining seats available. Visiting Singapore was liberating because I solely planned our itinerary and lodging and I successfully navigated the city. Their public transportation is fast, efficient, and very effective.

Besides those aforementioned, I’m also grateful for all the times I’ve spent with my family, especially when Papa’s home because those are priceless moments can never be replaced. They will always be one of my top priorities.

Speaking of which, another category was added up onto my top categories last 2017 and that is no other than *insert drum rolls* SKINCARE! (As if this was not predictable at all, no? LOL)

It was February 2017 when I started immersing myself into the vast world of Korean skincare. I started researching skincare related topics on SokoGlam and Wishtrend, watching Youtube videos of Joan Kim, Morgan, and Edward Avila, and browsing products on online shops, particularly Althea Korea. This website/app has been a holy grail for me because it is where I bought my first set of Korean products and I just love ordering more because the whole process is less hassle and also, who doesn’t love their iconic pink Althea box?! 💗 After (almost) fully incorporating the Korean skincare routine, I find myself buying (and h o a r d i n g) products on different online shops (BeautyMNL, Bigbox Global, Go Bloom and Glow), although majority of my skincare haul is still from Althea Korea.

Practicing the skincare routine wholeheartedly takes a lot of time and effort (and money! 😪), but there’s just something about it that makes me feel relaxed every after routine. It is therapeutic for some odd reason and I know that I’m not the only one experiencing this euphoria even if the whole routine is really time consuming!

The dewy or “no makeup” makeup look which has been popularized in Korea (and was later on extended in other parts of the world) was perfectly mastered by two of Korea’s sought-after celebrity makeup artists, Son Dae Sik and Park Tae Yun. Both decided to create a cosmetic and skincare line which reflects their expertise and artistry in beauty, hence the brand name, Son & Park. The Beauty Water is their first launched product which claims to “gently cleanse and tone the skin so that the following skin care products could absorb easily”.

This is one of the products that I have initially tried when I started my skincare routine and this does really work well! The Beauty Water does not only tone the skin but it also exfoliates given that one of its ingredients include willow bark and papaya extract which help sweep away dead skin cells. It does not have a strong scent and is also fast-absorbing. It can also be used as a facial mist to freshen up your face during the day. Personally, I’m using the Beauty Water as a toner every morning as my face needs to be prepped more for the succeeding products that I’m going to apply.

Neogen Real Fresh Green Tea Cleansing Stick

Ever since I started looking for cult favorite skincare products, this in particular caught my eye and I have been constantly searching for it with cheaper prices online. Luckily, I was able to get my hands on to this one (thanks to Go Bloom and Glow). This product which is created by Soko Glam co-founder, Charlotte Cho, is formulated with 13 natural oils and has a low pH which aims to gently cleanse the face and prevent dryness and tightness of skin after use.

I looooove green tea products and this has been one of my favorites. True enough, this gently cleanses my face and it feels so smooth afterwards. What I absolutely love is the bits of green tea leaves in the product itself which is a very effective anti-aging ingredient. Also, it has a green tea scent (which is not overpowering) with little traces of floral. This cleaning stick goes a long way because it foams really well and you need not to use more of it.

Nature Republic Real Nature Mask Sheets 10+10 (Green Tea)

Putting on sheet mask is my most favorite part of the skincare routine because it just gives a very relaxing feeling and it’s simply fun to do. Even before I committed myself to do the routine, I have been using sheet masks because my boyfriend “supplies” them to me. 😉 I even let the mask stay until it dries (probably exceeding 30 minutes) – which I learned to be a big no no! Letting the mask sit onto your face for more than the prescribed time will suck out all the moisture, which loses the very much goal of a sheet mask.

I have tried several brands of sheet masks and over and over again I would return to my all-time favorite from Nature Republic. Thanks to my former officemate who initially introduced it to me, this mask provides ample moisture to my skin and offers one of the cheapest prices without compromising its quality. Among all the variants that I’ve tried which includes tomato, aloe, shea butter, rose, and cucumber, green tea (obviously) is my most favorite because of its watery consistency and provides a non-sticky feeling after use. I use excess essence from sheet mask onto my neck and elbows so that it can also provide moisture and it will not be put to waste.

A/S Soothing Gel is my holy grail moisturizer. I don’t think I need to explain more on this as probably some of you are very much familiar to this product which has been a cult favorite last 2017.

(But still, I will explain anyway, LOL.)

I love how lightweight the formula is and fast-absorbing which provides a very refreshing feeling to the skin. This 300mL tub filled with 92% aloe vera leaf extract has a very affordable price and it does go a long way; I’ve finished my first tub and it lasted me for almost 10 months! I’m now on my second and so far I’m keeping my loyalty to this one, no wonder people have been craving for this until now and Nature Republic retail stores easily runs out of stock. At first, I thought that oil-based cleansers are only recommended for those who wear heavy make-up, but upon reading and exploring more about double cleansing, I realized how essential it was because this paraben-free hypoallergenic sherbet style cleanser does not only removes make-up but also other oil-based products such as SPF, excess sebum, and other pollutants.

Upon opening the tub, it has an additional hard plastic lid where you can put the spatula so that it will not be misplaced. Some bloggers/vloggers said that All Clean Balm is better than the Clean It Zero (Banila Co.); honestly, I was not able to tell any difference because both products did not gave me irritation after using and both performed well in removing impurities. Personally, I think what makes All Clean Balm better is due to its better packing and mild yet effective formulation. (I have even learned from Joan, a beauty and lifestyle vlogger, that the people behind the formulation of All Clean Balm used to work for Banila Co.!) It also has donkey milk (in their new formulation) which helps retain the moisture and suppleness even after use.

Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream (Triple Care)

Way back, I thought sunscreens are specially meant when you’re just out on the beach; but now, Korean skincare taught me how important sunscreen is to prevent premature aging and skin cancer. Soko Glam co-founder, Charlotte Cho suggests that you should apply sunscreen all the time because most of the sun exposure does not come from the beach or entire days outside, but from everyday exposure that adds up over time.

Before, I hate wearing sunscreens because it feels thick on my face and leaves a white cast. But Innisfree’s Perfect UV Protection Cream does the exact opposite to my face. Formulated with sunflower oil and green tea extract from Jeju which protects against UV rays, the UV Protection Cream has a lightweight consistency, easily spreadable, and fast-absorbing. It also claims to be long-lasting and water-proof which is essential in preventing skin from the greasy feel with sweat and sebum throughout the day. While it may leave a little white cast upon first application, it easily blends onto my face after spreading evenly. It has a slight powdery scent but nonetheless it does not irritate my skin.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

I rarely experience breakouts but when I do, it’s probably because it is the time of the month again or an allergic reaction to a particular product. The brand COSRX (which stands for Cosmetics + RX (prescription)) aims to develop products with safe and natural ingredients which are friendly for all skin types. COSRX is considered to be a catalyst in manufacturing this spot acne/pimple treatment which is designed to shrink and heal active acne/pimples. A pack of the Acne Pimple Master Patch contains 24 patches with 3 different sizes to ensure various pimple sizes to be covered well.

I was sceptic about buying this product at first because it is a little bit pricey for me and I don’t really need much of it. But it was a good thing that I have given a try to this because it does wonders in minimizing the troubled area overnight! The patch breaks down germs and absorbs oil and waste from the pimple very effectively. What I also love about the product is how well packaged they are plus the patches are translucent, skin-colored and lightweight that it does not feel uneasy even after application.

Who would have thought that there could be a lot of skincare benefits in using products made of volcanic ash?! Although before (pre-skincare addiction 😈) I have noticed that some nose pore packs are made of volcanic ash, I have never realized how great it is for my skin not until I tried using my other favorite Innisfree product, the Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask.

Particularly, the volcanic ash property on said product is taken from a particular island in Korea which is rich in numerous skincare ingredients, Jeju. No wonder all Innisfree product ingredients are carefully and particularly hand-picked in Jeju. This clay mask has a 6-in-1 treatment which claims to shrink pores, control sebum, exfoliate, deeply cleanse, brighten skin tone and cool. What I love the most about this product is the cooling effect upon rinsing; it just refreshes my face and the little granules of volcanic ash does the trick in removing dead skin cells because my face just feels so smooth and even afterwards. Unlike other wash-off mask, I did not feel any tightness on my face, and a little amount of which can also go a long way, it is worth the price. (I think almost all Innisfree products are!)

Again, (obviously) this is green tea product related. I told you, I love them hahaha.

Based on their website, Neogen Dermalogy “creates high performance beauty brands based on the core principles of advanced bio technology for ultimate skin benefits”. Quite overwhelming, isn’t it? But true to its claim, Neogen products have always been raved about due to its great formulation and latest skincare innovations without compromising one’s skin health.

The Gauze Peeling Pads are the first product that I have tried from Neogen and giiiiirl, they did not disappoint! These exfoliating pads give gentle yet very effective exfoliation of dead skin cells and other impurities. It has mineral ingredients from green tea which helps refresh skin and at the same time replenish the moisture. What I love the most is how innovative these pads are because exfoliating is more fun when I use this one because it is very easy and fast to use. Not to mention the green tea scent which I suuuuper love, the pads are also soaked in a generous amount of serum and so I feel like efficacy of product is really there.

Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence Rose Edition

Essences are considered to be the heart of skincare routine. They have thinner and more watery consistency than serum, but they have active ingredients that aim to hydrate, brighten, and even out skin tone. Just like any other skincare products, a lot of essences are sold in the market. Probably two of the famous ones are (the EVER expensive) SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and its dupe, the Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence. I was looking for a much cheaper essence than those aforementioned, and luckily I came across Renee’s (Youtuber/skincare enthusiast) video and I noticed an unfamiliar product which is the Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence (Rose Edition).

This was the first essence that I have used and so far it does a good job in making my face more hydrated and prepped for the succeeding skincare routine. The essence also has a lightweight consistency like that of Missha (I have tried it twice, though), does not have any scent and absorbs pretty well too. The star ingredient is the 94% galactomyces ferment filtrate in the essence which fights the targeting fine lines, dullness, and uneven skintone, while improving elasticity and hydration. This one can be another dupe from Missha because I think that its properties are the same, but cheaper price.

So that pretty much sums up all my most favorite skincare products for 2017! I tried to keep them as short as possible, heehee. 😇 I hope I have imparted new things especially to those who are interested into Korean skincare. I cannot wait to try (and hoard) more products in 2018. 😈 (Although one of my resolutions for this year is to save more, it just gets tougher when it comes to skincare. 😀)

Well, this haul did really make me feel happier and satisfied! There's just something about browsing products, adding them to my cart, and checking them out that is just relaxing... HAHAHA.

Before I start sharing my August haul, I wanted to commend Althea Korea and its logistics partner, Ninja Van PH (Ninja) because compared to my previous Althea parcel deliveries, the whole process is better and faster... plus I also love how Ninja would text me early on the day to remind me that I'm expecting a parcel delivery. 👍

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask
- One of Skinfood's bestsellers, this black sugar mask wash-off is a dead skin cell remover. It also contains certain vitamins and glycolic acid to deeply and easily penetrate skin for effective absorption. I haven't tried this one yet and I'm just excited to see the positive effects of this exfoliating wash-off scrub.
Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera Soothing Gel
- I think I need not to discuss this specific product as I have mentioned this during my previous blogs 😅 This is one of my all-time favorites because it is affordable and has skin-firming and soothing abilities. This moisturizer is light-weight which can be worn even in daytime without getting the sticky feeling (which is also very convenient since I live in a humid country).
Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum
- Ever since I started doing my Korean skincare routine, I have been interested in trying green tea related products. They say that green tea has anti-aging and antioxidant benefits which help delay signs of skin-aging, improves skin complexion, and skin elasticity. I haven't also tried this one yet but I am hopeful that this will be just as effective as all the Innisfree products that I have been using. Also, I really have high expectations for this one though because it is Innisfree's No. 1 best-selling product (as of writing).
Aritaum A.D.F Hydrocolloid Dressing Spot Patch
- This is pretty much like the COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch, but cheaper. I've bought this one because I have been searching for an alternative of the COSRX pimple patch because it always run out of stock and this is (I believe) the closest alternative to it. It also has 24 circular-shaped patches with 3 different sizes.

Calmia (2+1) Cleansing Tissue

- This travel-size cleansing tissue is very convenient and does not take too much space in your bag unlike any other cleansing tissues. It has vegetable components such as oatmeal, mung beans, and aloe which helps gentle cleansing. Although I have (hoarded) Nature Republic's Aloe Vera Cleansing Tissue, I'm curious to try this one because of the oatmeal ingredient.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

- It is a hydrocolloid protective patch which secures acne from dust and bacteria. I've already used a pack of this already and this prevents me from popping my pimples which might further cause infection. It comes with three different sizes, 7mm, 10mm, and 12mm.

(I was hesitant to add this to my cart since I already bought the 2 Aritaum spot patches, but since this is one of highly-demanded products from COSRX and it easily goes out of stock, I grabbed one anyway. Hahaha!)

Etude House Real Powder Cushion Foundation SPF50+/PA+++

- It is an innovative multitasking powder cushion which provides all-day flawless face make-up with light and powdery finish. I have purchased one from Etude House (TriNoma) months ago in the shade of natural beige. From someone who's a first time cushion user, I love its powdery finish and long-lasting ability; also, with its light-weight formula, my face looks dewy and natural as if I haven't put any make-up on at all!

Heimish All Clean Balm

- Other online products offer the All Clean Balm at a more expensive price unlike Althea Korea which offers the cheapest (yes, cheapest) price, if I'm not mistaken. This oil-based cleansing balm is similar to Banila Co Clean It Zero which is supposed to remove makeup, residue, and impurities without stripping off natural oils. Since this one easily goes out of stock (in a matter of only a day), your hoarder skincare junkie 🙋 bought another 2 (shout out to my chingu, Jassy, who just did the same thing HAHA #hoardersofMNL 😂).

Althea Red Velvet Powder

- In celebration of Althea's 2nd Anniversary last July, they have launched their first limited edition skincare product which is the Althea Red Velvet Powder. Luckily, this product was not out of stock yet and I was able to get one. It is a translucent loose powder which aims to leave your skin smooth and keeps make-up in place all day. Its three main ingredients are Althea [of course!] (which has natural antioxidants to protect the skin from dehydration), polyphenols (which helps protect skin from sun exposure and UV rays), and saponarin (which helps repair damaged skin cells). Just like other loyal Altheans (🙋), I'm excited to try this product (will probably do a separate review about this 💗).
Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack (Jeju Volcano and Green Tea)

- This little tubs are basically like Innisfree's wash-off masks but with more kinds of formulation/variants to cater to different skin-types. It is also good if you wanted to try all different types of this recipe pack to figure out which one suits your skin concern the most because it is cheaper than big-sized masks. I bought two, jeju volcano (made with Jeju volcanic scoria [dark-colored volcanic rock] to absorb excessive sebum and purify pores) and green tea (with antioxidants to hydrate and maintain skin elasticity).

Boomdeadah Everyday Mask

- Sheet masks have always been a part of my skincare routine (and is my most favorite step!) and since I have been running out of it (panicking), I was looking for cheaper masks and I came across this unfamiliar brand, Boomdeahdah, which offers the cheapest sheet masks (probably) at PHP20.00 per piece! Initially, I was supposed to order a couple of green tea (as usual) sheet masks, but I just decided to purchase each of the mask offered by Boomdeadah to compare if one is really different than the other and also because the minimal yet colorful packaging of each sheet mask is just unique!
(Green Tea, Aloe - moisturizing; Rice, Lemon Lime - brightening; Berry, Pomegranate - tightening; Honey, Olive - nourishing)

All boxes arrived at different days and I am just so proud of myself that I was able to patiently wait for the last box to arrive before unboxing all three of them. I haven't tried a lot of products I've mentioned above and I'm very excited to try them all and give you guys my viewpoints if all those products does stick to their promises and claims. Also, I'm just as grateful how this online shopping experience from Althea exposes me to a lot of skincare products which makes me want to hoard more!
